Part 17
The Deal

She walked in the moonlight on the abandoned streets with a sheet of paper with instructions on it.

"Damn it how am I gonna open up this portal when all of these items seem to be impossible to get..."

The list had merely three things on it...

-A Portal Emerald

-A strand of Sonic's fur

-A bit of Sonic's blood.

She wasn't used to doing these things by herself, and she had no knowledge on how to get any of these items. In fact, she never knew there was ever such a thing called a Portal Emerald. Really no one had, they were extremely rare. They were used by the ancients before the Chaos Emeralds had ever come to be. To open up holes anywhere in the universe or in another universe and travel through them. They were extremely tricky to use to. With the Chaos Emeralds, only a certain few could use them, the ones who had the power of Chaos within them. Portal Emeralds could be used by almost anyone, they were clear and looked like crystals, the reason why they were called Emeralds, was because you would need a few ingredients, first a strand of hair if you are familiar with the person and a drop of their blood if you wished to bring them pain. The hair and the blood would then merge inside the Emerald and create the green colour, even if the colours didn't create green. It would always summon anyone you wished or you could go through the portal yourself. The other tricky thing to these Emeralds, was that you always needed to have a cause to open up the portal. And it needed to be for someone else other than you.

No one really knew where to find Portal Emeralds nowadays, however if you were ever to find one, you could become filthy rich by selling it.


Sally grunted in anger and almost ripped the paper in two. She wanted her revenge now! Damn it why was it never so easy?


Before she knew it, she was walking in the forest and saw a few ancient relics. She'd never seen these before. She looked down in disgust with the insect - life and walked over as many as she could. When she walked a bit further she saw what seemed to be an abandoned house, she decided to investigate the house. She opened up the door and saw a bed and a few pots and pans-oh damn...this wasn't an abandoned house wasn't it? She walked in further into the house deciding to investigate. It's possible that it was just recently abandoned right? She was soon welcomed to a dagger about to slit her throat and a hand cupped over her mouth.

She stood there wide-eyed trying not to struggle, for fear that she would slit her own throat on accident.

"What're you doing in my home?" asked the voice in a hushed voice. The voice let the girl speak for a while.

Sally's voice was raspy, terrified for her life. "I just came in to see if it was abandoned or anything! I swear I wasn't going to steal anything from you!"

The unknown person let go of her and pushed her the ground. "Who are you?"

Sally could finally see who this person was.

It was a girl, she was part of the  cat species.

She had a shrine maiden outfit on, she was a priestess!

She looked at her in disbelief. She couldn't be! Priestesses were so rare! The ones that were actually born with sacred powers and had their own elemental ability.

The cat glared at her, that it made Sally stiff.

"Answer my question now!" she ordered.

Sally shrieked. "SALLY ACORN!!! SALLY ACORN!!!"

The girl seemed to stare right into her soul, she looked as if she despised that name with a passion.

"Get out now before I put an arrow through your heart." she said coldly.

"Wait! Can't you tell me where I can find a Portal Emerald."

The girl glared at her suspiciously...

Girl's P.O.V.

I didn't like this Sally girl. And now she was asking for a Portal Emerald. It was suspicious to me. I took my dagger out and pointed it towards her face. I was glad that we both knew who was in charge in this situation. She slowly backed up in terror and I only brought it closer to her.

"Why do you want a Portal Emerald?" I asked.

I knew where Portal Emeralds were, I had one of my own, but I never used it. The aura from this girl was evil, she was full of revenge and she wanted something. I had to come up with a plan.

Regular POV

The priestess walked over to one of her shelves and picked up a small bag. She dug inside of it and took out something.

A Portal Emerald.

Sally gasped, her eyes were wide in awe. The girl threw the gem at her, and Sally caught it out of reflexes.

"Th-thank you!" she whispered terrified.

The girl scoffed, and glared. "Get out."

Sally nodded her head violently and ran out almost in tears.

When she got far enough, she scoffed. How dare someone treat her like that! Well once Scourage come into the picture she would have her killed, but really was she worth her time? She sighed and looked at the Emerald. She smirked and knew what she had to do. She ran back to the city as fast she could. Now she only needed two things from Sonic...his fur and his blood.

Since she couldn't get Scourages fur, she had to get Sonics instead, since Scourage is basically him in another dimension. And she needed his blood since she wanted cause him pain.

She needed to think of something...she needed those ingredients!

"I suppose I could just sneak into his house...I just need to be quiet..." she thought to herself. It was a ridiculous idea but she was desperate.

She seemed to be hiding at his house for what seemed like forever, eventually though Sonic came back home with...her...however they both went to bed immediately and she set her plan into action. She climbed up the house and quietly went through the window. In her hand, she had a needle, sanitized and ready to go, she saw only Sonic in his bedroom and figured Amy was in a guest bedroom.

She went over Sonic and stood there glaring at his sleeping face. She then grinned evilly and took the needle and placed it in his arm and the shot had sucked up the blood she needed. Sonic had turned over and Sally shot her arms up and got out of the way as fast as she could. Seeing that he was still asleep, she quietly dabbed some alcohol on his arm, she then quietly took a knife she had on hand and cut through his sharp quills still making sure that it had stayed in the form they always were in. And took off out the window.

She ran as fast as she could into the forest once again and got to work, she took the Portal Emerald and placed it on the ground, she then took the fur and the blood and the Emerald immediately absorbed the two ingredients, she gasped in amazement, and saw that it had started to levitate on its own. She stood on her feet and started to think of the hate she had for Sonic the hedgehog and Amy Rose and wished that pain would soon break them apart forever. And then it happened...the Emerald turned crimson red and shined brightly, it momentarily seemed to blind Sally. She closed her eyes and covered her eyes, she felt wind blasting her it almost made her blow away, but she stood her ground and then...it stopped...

"Well...well...well..." a familiar voice had said.

Sally opened her eyes and saw the green hedgehog. It worked! It really worked!

"Scourage! I'm glad came!" she said.

"Thought I'd never hear that from you nut princess!" he replied.

Sally got flustered from that insult. But she breathed in deeply...don't wanna lose him just yet.

"Scourage I have a favor to ask from you..." she said calmly.

"You really think I'm gonna do anything for you after what you did to me?!" he said angrily, shouting in her face.

"Scourage please hear me out! I promise you will get what you truly want!" she pleaded.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"If you do what I want...I'll give you whatever you want in return..." she explained.

"Why don't you get Sonic to do your dirty work?" Scourage snarled.

"That's my problem..." she replied.

Scourage paused and cocked his eyebrow.

"I'm listening..." he spoke.

"It's that Amy Rose and Sonic! I don't care what you do, just destroy them. And whatever you want afterwards will be yours." she explained.

Scourage smirked..."Anything I want eh?"

"Anything you want." Sally said.

"Alright. It'll be my pleasure." he said and stuck out his hand.

Sally gratefully took his hand and then sealed the deal.


From behind the trees, the girl watched closely on what had just occurred and grew a face of concern and fear, and ran off to her home and prepared herself.
